This article is about the history of the website fiberglassics.com. The origin of the site began with Kelly Wood, a creative individual who began a hobby including research on the evolution of fiberglass boats built in the late 50's and early 60's. He coined the phrase "fiberglassics" as a concatenation of two words, fiberglass and classic. Kelly decided to register the domain name in order to organize the people he had met at boat meets and who had expressed an interest in the history of these boats. He registered fiberglassics.com on June 27, 1998.[1] Kelly, an adept graphics artist, composed the first site's homepage and began showing the site to classic fiberglass boat enthusiasts.

Here is the logo that he created.
