My hobbies include riding dirt bikes, snowboarding, and going to the gym. I enjoy being active and outdoors for the most part. If I had to choose just one hobby to be my favorite, I would choose dirt-biking, as I invest the most time in this activity. Riding dirt bikes also provides some health benefits because it is considered a full body workout.

My Wikipedia interests

If I am active on Wikipedia in the future, it will probably be for research in my college courses or for a quick understanding of a newly learned term or concept.

Article Evaluation: Countrypolitan

I initially chose to research one of my favorite country singers, George Strait. The article on George Strait was well developed as he is a very well known country singer. After some further exploration on topics associated, I landed on an interesting article about countrypolitan. Countrypolitan is a style of country music that combines old time country with pop country.

The first area I noticed could use some work was the age of the article. The information appears to still remain true, however, it is lacking newer information. For example, the article discusses older 1950s-1980s country artists who contributed to this genre of music. Information to be included would be more modern country artists as countrypolitan/country pop is becoming increasingly popular.

Another area I noticed could use some critiquing was the inclusion of irrelevant sections in this article. For example the article concludes with "Upon being asked what the Nashville Sound was, Chet Atkins put his hand into his pocket, shook his loose change, and said "That's what it is. It's the sound of money". This sentence would have been relevant for the broader topic countrypolitan is associated with (Nashville Sound) however, it doesn't pertain to the definition of countrypolitan and would come across as confusing for anyone trying to view the raw definition of this style of music.

The last part of the article I evaluated was the neutrality of the subject and if the information was biased in some way or another. The article remains consistent in its reliability as it is backed up with information from credible sources and again, the topic is a subtopic of something much broader which is also backed with certainty.

To conclude, the Countrypolitan music style is ever evolving and could use some updated information in its wikipedia page as well as the elimination of any irrelevant subjects attached. This wikipedia article did meet expectations for its credibility and reliable sources used.
