Keft Sobredo is a Third Officer in Maersk Line. He became an Officer-in-Charge of a Navigational Watch as certified and endorsed by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) of the Philippines in 2016 and currently holds a Second Officer license.

He earned the degree, Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation, in John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University – Arevalo in 2015. And prior to that, he completed his academic requirements from the same maritime university in 2014, with honours.

Additionally, Mr. Sobredo also graduated as a publication scholar of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University – Arevalo. For three school years, he has worked as a student journalist of their university publication, The Dolphin. He was appointed as Filipino Editor in 2011-2012, Associate Editor in 2012-2013 and eventually, the Editor-in-Chief in 2013-2014.

In March 2014, he received a ‘Sagisag ng Pangulo ng Pilipinas’ medal from the Presidential Communications Operations Office as one of the recipients of the Iwag Award, the highest citation given by the Philippine Information Agency Region VI to graduating editors who contributed to development journalism.
