Abul Kasem ( 12 October 1999 ) was an English social reformer, statistician and the Senior Staff Nurse of Bangladesh Medical College Hospital,Bangladesh. He significantly reduced death rates by improving hygiene and living standards. Abul Kasem gave nursing a favourable reputation and became an icon of Bangladeshi culture.
