From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm an 18 year old trying to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life. I enjoy hanging out with friends and going shopping. I love listening to music, I listen to music whenever i'm doing just about anything. My family is super important to me and I don't know what I would do without them. They are a big motivation in my life. I want to travel the world with friends when i'm older.

Article Critique

[edit]

I visited the Everett High School page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects worth commenting on: the citations, the age of the article, and the lack of some information.

Citations

[edit]

There are citations for the article, but not a lot. As you are reading the article you do not see any citations. You only see the citations when you scroll to the bottom of the article.

Age

[edit]

As I was reading the article about the school I actually graduated from, I came across a sentence about a graduation requirement that is not required anymore. This requirement was changed years ago. Also, for the sports section it mentions accomplishments from sports teams from 2012 and under, nothing past 2012. This shows that this article has not been edited in years.

Lack of informaton

[edit]

I feel that the article could have included more about the schools history to make the article more interesting. Clubs or after school activities they have to offer would have been good to include also. Listing more AP classes students could take here. They could have explained how running start works better, they give a really brief explanation about it. Sno-isle could have also been mentioned. The amount of credits needed to graduate from this school/school district, and how many credits needed for each subject would have been something good to explain.

Summary

[edit]

The article itself is not bad, but could be better. Including more information about recent years sports teams and students, taking out some information that does not apply to graduates anymore, mentioning some programs and clubs students could join are some important things people who are looking into this school would want to know. Parents want to see exactly what the school has to offer for their kids.
