Paromomycin Interactions
Paromomycin belongs to the aminoglycoside drug class and therefore can cause and ototoxicity and renal toxicity. These toxicities are additive and are more likely to occur when used with other renal toxic and ototoxic drugs.3 Concurrent use of diuretics may increase the risk of ototoxicity.1 Concurrent use of foscarnet, a nephrotoxic drug, increases the risk of nephrotoxicity.2
Paromomycin may have dangerous reactions with succinylcholine by increasing the neuromuscular effects.4
