Alright so this is like a bio? Got it.
Now let me complain about Nynorsk for a bit.
I am fine with people using Nynorsk if they want to do so. It's fine. Everybody who speaks Norwegian can read and understand Nynorsk. However, the idiotic thing is that if you recieve a letter in Nynorsk you have to (or are at least supposed to, fuck if I know if people actually do) answer in Nynorsk, and vice versa with Bokmål. This makes no sense. When the two standards are this similar and readable, HOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE THAT EVERYBODY MUST BE ABLE TO WRITE BOTH? If I could answer a message sent to me in Nynorsk in Bokmål, I only have to be able to read Nynorsk. I can answer in Bokmål, which is how I write Norwegian. The sender of that letter can then read it, because they speak Norwegian. The current system is the opposite of how language dialects usually work (let's face it, Bokmål and Nynorsk are both written dialects). I'm not sure if it's about respect, or language conservation, but it sure doesn't make a whole lot of sense. We can both understand what the other person is writing, so why not let us write the way we want?
