From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I ‘joined’ Wikipedia in October 2015, after adding details/references to many local / interest pages. I then began a journey that sees me editing along three lines: Things WW1, Things PEI, with a niche interest in (select) Military Histories.

Things WW1

[edit]

‘Four’ articles that I watch and still work them. I added wiki-links and did edits to supporting pages, that miss-represented their WW1 Story, and their ‘military service’ of PEI. The last was a 'posted' repair, that still needs some more work, still having multiple notices (that I corrected), but did not take down.

Things PEI

[edit]

Principally three articles, as there is a lot of history in small places. The Lot 62 article had been 'posted' for a lack of references / links, which I added. As was requested, for the Sections in the other article, I added wiki-links or did additional small edits to supporting articles. They are short fun articles that can become interesting to 'new' readers going to visit PEI.

From my Lot 62 Article work, I saw that there were 'history-linkage' to be followed (backwards), with additions to be made, to three articles, given a Canadian interest in Thomas Douglas, 5th Earl of Selkirk. These articles saw some solid change, well referenced, (I think) adding to the Selkirk PEI Story ... as do other linked pages, which I also edited.

Military Histories

[edit]

I work three articles, the first my second article, the second - updating a Canadian Squadron history, the 1950s added. I inserted some serious amount of text into the third, studying D-Day from another perspective, finding new sources, with lots of 'new' text, and refs - that I added.

Then I began a long research project ... towards a third article, unsuccessfully, that sits in my Sandbox (Landungsabschnitt JUNO). It being upgraded from a new perspective: Edit and tell short stories, finding new texts, with lots of reference - that I worked to look at eight short focused edits to articles.
