Kinesiology

Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement, performance, and function. In this field it combines anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and psychology to understand how the body moves and how it responds to physical activity. This Study is used for different settings, including sports medicine, physical therapy, and fitness training. We can also use this medical field to prevent and treat injuries, improve athletic performance, and increase overall health and wellness. Some common areas of study within kinesiology include exercise physiology, motor control, sport psychology, and biomechanics. Physical therapy, which is the most common job in this industry, may work with athletes, patients recovering from injuries or surgeries, or individuals seeking to improve their physical fitness.

Sports Medicine ,which works along with kinesiology, is a broad field that overcomes a wide range of topics, from the mechanics of movement to the psychological area of sports performance. Some kinesiologists focus on the study of specific sports or activities, while others may specialise in the biomechanics of certain types of movements, such as running or jumping. Most common is working with patients after surgery, for example having an ACL surgery or achilles replacement. Kinesiology can also be used to study the effects of ageing, disease, or disability on movement and physical function. It is aimed for daily clinical practice of rehabilitation professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical doctors, and other related professions.

It helps us understand how the body works and how we can improve our physical performance and overall health. By studying kinesiology, we can learn how to prevent and treat injuries, get the most out of our workouts, and enhance our athletic abilities. We use this form of treatment to also develop new techniques and technologies for physical therapy and rehabilitation. In addition, it can help us understand the effects of activity on the body and mind, and how we can use exercise to improve our mental health and well-being. For instance, studies have shown that regular exercise can reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, as well as improve mood, reduce stress, and enhance cognitive function. Kinesiology is a fascinating and important field that has the potential to improve our lives in many ways.

History Kinesiology combination of 2 greek verbs (Kinenin) to move (logos) to the study. This form of movement led to the clinical trial to assist in the perfect diagnosis and effective treatment of patients with locomotor disorders. Through movement science we came to understand the importance of core stabilisation, learning motor function, and feedback control, anticipation planning and the means of limiting these effects on skill.

The Human Nervous System The Human Nervous System is a key understanding that kinesiologists study, the most complex system in known. Human Nervous System, consists of the brain and spinal cord, it collects data from its atmosphere and inner body. Higher brain level areas are needed for planning and voluntary movements. Methods of energy consumption need a proper plan, which directly depends on the purpose of the study, and the properness of the method.

Forms of Treatments Depending on the situation and what your doctor's eligibility to perform certain treatments, it comes in many forms. For example a torn muscle may be treated with surgery and strength training. Tense muscle or built up tissue may use dry needling, cupping methods, or massage therapy to loosen tissue. Different doctors use different techniques to suit the case based off their studies.
