I'm an archivist by profession and I mostly edit articles based upon information I've discovered during my work. Although the articles I edit are closely related to the collections I work or have worked with, my edits do not to represent the institutions I have represented professionally.
I also try to add references to entries so users can find more information if they need to. I'm also interested in promoting archives, and always try to add links to archive repositories/libraries which hold materials which can be used to find further information on a topic.
In May 2021, I was made aware of Wikipedia's rules regarding conflict of interest which I wasn't aware of previously. Therefore from this date my edits will follow guidelines set out for the cultural sector and guidance for editors who are based in GLAM sector.
I am currently based at the Lancaster University and I've previously worked in various archive services including collections related to contemporary art, the history of archaeology and education.
