This article features an interview between Jaffe and Phyllis Nagy, the writer for the screenplay Carol, the recent adaption of The Price of Salt. In the article, Jaffe asks Nagy about her experience of writing the screenplay and the challenges of adapting an iconic novel. This article is a relevant source for my Wikipedia article because it not only talks about the relationship between the novel and the movie adaption, but also covers the role of fantasy and other aspects of the novel itself. This article also fits Wikipedia’s standards because it is a secondary source from a literary journal.

This article meets Wikipedia’s standards because it was published in an academic journal.

3. Russell, Sue. "The Talented Patricia Highsmith: Lesbian Class Avenger." Lambda Book Report 8.9 (2000): 12. LGBT Life with Full Text.

This article talks about some of the inspiration behind The Price of Salt. It examines how that inspiration was acquired and how the inspiration actually manifested in the novel. Highsmith's inspiration for the novel has been well reported on but this article examines it in a real-world context, especially in regards to her existence as a closeted queer woman. The article is a relevant source for my Wikipedia article because it examines how Highsmith came up with the idea for her novel and how it fits in context of her writing her other novels. This article meets Wikipedia’s standards because it is a secondary source that was published in a reputable journal.
