Overview

[edit]

Here are the orders of monocots based on molecular phylogenetic evidence according to the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group IV.[1]

Lilianae
sensu Chase & Reveal[2]

Alismatid families

[edit]

Relationship between alismatid families based on study by Givnish et al (2018).[3]

Lilialid families

[edit]

Relationship between lilialid families based on study by Givnish et al (2018).[3]

Asparagales with subfamilies

[edit]
  1. ^ Families Taccaceae and [Thismiaceae are not recognised by the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group, although a proposal to resinstate the families is noted in APG IV.[4]. The two families are currently recognised by the Angiosperm Phylogeny Website.[5]
  2. ^ The family Luzuriagaceae is not recognised in APG III or IV and is treated as subfamily Luzuriageae by APweb.[6].

Commelinid families

[edit]

Relationship between commelinid families based on study by Givnish et al (2018).[3]

Poaceae subfamilies

[edit]

Poaceae subfamilies following Soreng et al (2017).[7]

Poaceae subfamilies and tribes

[edit]

Poaceae subfamilies and tribes following Soreng et al (2017).[7]
