Bryonames tests
I've been thinking it would be better if the short footnote was of the form "PLANTS Database (year)", which is clearer than NRCS (year).
  • So use {{Sfn|PLANTS Database|2024}} for the short footnote.[5]
  • Then remove the authors from the {{PLANTS}} citation and set the citeref link with either |ref={{SfnRef|PLANTS Database|2024}} or |ref=CITEREFPLANTS Database2024
  • The output of the template would appear like this with the title first: "Oenothera arizonica". PLANTS Database. USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. Retrieved 4 November 2024.
This doesn't seem to generate any errors and doesn't need the whitelist, but I can't be sure as I can't replicate the errors.  —  Jts1882 | talk  14:16, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

A test for {{cite bryonames}}[6] and {{cite taxon}}.[7] (without |ref=)

A test for {{cite bryonames}}[8] and {{cite taxon}}.[9] (with |ref=)

A test for {{cite bryonames}}[10] and {{cite taxon}}.[11] (without |year=)
