Scope of work

My areas of focus include contemporary American playwrights, librettists, and composers, such as Edward Albee and Jake Heggie.

For example, I was one of Albee's students at the University of Houston in 2009 and 2010. In Summer 2015, I assisted Heggie in preparing his personal score collection for archival preservation at the Library of Congress. Having spent time learning about these artists firsthand, I have a broad knowledge on their biography and work. My additional interests include performers, practitioners, and stewards of their work in the world, as well as contemporary writers in the field of American opera and musical theatre.
