John Todora John "Dr Johnny" Todora (born Dec 27th, 1970) An American Entrepreneur best known as a successful creator and operator or several successful brands in the nightlife industry and as the host of several online radio shows.

Background

John Todora grew up in Center Township, Pennsylvania. He attended FIU studying advertising and psychology. During college he got his first job in the bar business as a strip club DJ. His job before was as a short order cook for $300 a week. His first shift as a DJ he made $300.

Tootsies Cabaret

From 1999-2007 held he title of Head DJ and Entertainment Director as well as Head of Marketing at Tootsies Cabaret in Miami, Florida. upon his arrival Tootsies was generating $40,000 a week in revenue. Helped design the new Tootsies, a 42,000 sq foot super club. Upon his departure in 2007, Tootsies was purchased by a publicly traded company RICKS for just over 24 million dollars.

The Smut Drs

Hosted the no defunct online radio show thesmutdrs.com, with then partner Mike "Platypus" DeSuno. The show gained significant notoriety for its edgy content during the FCC crackdowns of 2005. During this time he was called "The King of Internet Radio", by the New Times Magazine,

The Dr Johnny Show

Hosted the self titled Dr Johnny show from 2007-2009. Self proclaimed "King of Internet Radio"

Whiskey Tango

Opened Whiskey Tango All American Bar and Grill in 2009. Won Browards Best Bar two years in a row in 2010 and 2011 for the New Times Magazine as well as multiple other awards.

Promotions

Created the "If they lose we pay your tab" promotion based on the Miami Heat and their 2010-2011 season offering patrons a free tab every time the Heat loss. CNBC reported losses of over $85,000 for the bar but over a $1,000,000 in publicity back to the brand.
