It is being produced by Anaguel Films, Studio Nagoya, UNIQ Films, Sega, Sonic Team, and Stella Stellauro Entertainment It is written by Jose Antonio Esparza, Ruben Trevino and Eli Stone and directed by Jose Antonio Esparza & Ruben Trevino, and stars Matthew Womack as Sonic the Hedgehog, alongside Deven Elizabeth Anderson, Jose Antonio Esparza, and Issabella Castle. The film is scheduled for release in the United States on March 15, 2019 by Anaguel Films. Filming began in August 21 2018.
