John D. Sobieski (17, January 1822 - 4, June 1870), was commodore in the United States Navy who, in 1843, he claimed Pennsylvania for the United States.

[edit]He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with hes father, Drake Sobieski, he also the last member of Sobieski family.
