Joanne Patricia Fox was born on the Island of Nassau, Bahamas to Bahamian parents, Wellington and Shirley Fox, at the age of eleven, she met Shirley Hall Bass. Her grand aunt had been working for her as a maid at the time and took her to with her to work. Shirley not being able to have children took a liking to her and ask my mother if she could adopt me, my mother said yes. There she began a life with me with dancing and the adoption. Ralph Bass https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_Bass Bass/http://rockhall.com/inductees/ralph-bass/ who married Shirley Hall ( a Chicago-born dancer and choreographer, Shirley had been a dancer, choreographer, and instructor at the Sammy Dyer School of the Theatre in Chicago, she also had danced and choreographed for the Dyerettes, an African-American female dance and acrobatic troupe, in their heyday during the fifties and sixties, toured with Nat King Cole, Sammy Davis Jr.,. Shirley and Ralph moved back and forth between the USA and the Bahamas. At the age of twelve, She moved with Ralph and Shirley Bass to Chicago, Illinois where she attended John J Pershing Grammar school. She excelled in dance, and later attended Aquinas Dominican all girls high school where my mother taught dance as well. After graduation She attended Columbia University, majoring in dance. While there in Chicago she continued dance at my mothers School, The Sammy dyer School of Theatre as well as in College. After a year at Columbia University, She transferred to New York State University at Brockport, where She continued my major in Dance Education, After one year there She then transfer to Illinois State University, again continuing she major in Dance Education and my dancing, becoming apart of university dance company, and preforming in many different areas, like dance competitions, as well as other lives of dance, and dance classes with the college. She later Graduated with a B.S Bachelor of Science in Dance Education and attended Circle University for her Masters in kinesiology. She continued dancing with the Sammy Dyer School Of Theater, performing in many musicials, and being apart of various activities. She also traveled back and forth to the Bahamas, where I danced there as well, on break from college. She also taught classes at her mothers second school, The Bahamas Dance School Of Theatre, and also the National Dance School Of The Bahamas. Later after College She stayed in Chicago, and work, continuing my dance, and teaching tap to children in a government program for the summer. She also did an interview with Eye On Chicago, TV in Chicago talking about my life with her mother and dancing, and even what life she had with Bahamas. She later moved to Los Angeles where She audition as a dancer, even auditioning for Alivin Ailey, and Fame TV show and life with The Inner City Cultural Center. She later moved to New York where she work various office jobs. Then She booked a show to dance in Freeport, Bahamas at Lucaya Beach. She danced in a beautiful show, she even had a solo dance where she sang and dance, call Masquernada, a Spanish dance, surrounded by male dancers. After one year she went to to Nassau, to my parents where I got married, on July 4th, 1987. She then moved to lived in Yeadon, Philadelphia, where my husband was station in the Navy. where I worked several office jobs, including a law firm. She also took up life with acting classes with John Bart and Weist Barron, as well a auditioning for roles in New York, like Josephine Baker. After several years of living there they brought an investment house, reinvented it, soled it, then move to visit my parents in Chicago, then move to live in LA, to pursue my acting career. While in Los Angeles, after a while I worked many office jobs while pursuing my career. She worked as actress booking a movie call The Plain Truth, also she booked a movie called Atlantis, that was suppose to have been shot in Bimini. She also booked various other things like a music vedio, and a TV show with Marla Gibbs and George Jefferson, a show with Slyster Stallone's mother. She continued work office jobs, even worked for a Dance agency, Bobby Ball. Later she became a strong Christian and went, to continue my career and start her own company, call Give God Glory Entertainment. Her father father Ralph Bass passed away in 1997, and after in 1998, her mother Shirley hall Bass mother passed away.
