This article is going to be about the ethnic diversity aspect of the History of Puerto Rico. Puerto Ricans deal through rough times because of that ethnic diversity they have.

New York Times has made Latinx group mainly Puerto Ricans look like a threat because of the population increase that is forming in the United States.[1]

The article mostly consists of the discrimination aspect of ethnic diversity. The discrimination that Puerto Rican experience is either because of people that are racist towards Puerto Ricans or because they are seen as a group of people that are going to affect the economy and society. Most Puerto Ricans can learn good coping skills to lessen the effect of discrimination personally. Some Puerto Rican even hide their Puerto Rican roots to avoid that aspect of ethnic diversity. Low self-esteem may occur when Puerto Ricans hide their roots. The study for that will be provided in this bigger article.

Puerto Ricans have had an increase in migrating to the United States and that has created a bad bias towards them.[1]
