I am the archivist for the John James Bristol Foundation, and am paid for this role. As such I have access to a large quantity of historical material relating to John James himself, his business activities and his philanthropic works. I am preparing this material for donation to Bristol Archives (https://www.bristolmuseums.org.uk/bristol-archives/) who are interested in taking this because of the importance of John James in the city of Bristol. I am not being paid to write a Wikipedia article as such, rather I felt that others would be interested in learning about this person and I am the person with the best knowledge to do so. I have not written his biography, that was written by Roy Avery (1925-2023), former headmaster of Bristol Grammar School.
