Edmund Perry (October 4, 1825 - November 2, 1878) was an American attorney and politician who served in the New Jersey State Senate. He was the President of the Senate in 1861.[1]
Perry was married on July 15, 1848 to Elizabeth Ann White, and had three children.[2]
In September 1849, Perry became the owner and editor of The Hunterdon County Democrat.[3]
In 1856, Perry was listed as a charter member of Darcy Lodge #37 of the Free and Accepted Masons and served as Worshipful Master in 1858.[4]
While President of the Senate, Perry welcomed US President-elect Abraham Lincoln during his pre-inaugural tour.[5]
Perry was appointed as a judge for the Court of Common Pleas in 1866 and served for five years.[6]
