This template is related to the disputed Template:History of Manchuria. It is about the history of the geographic region in Northeastern China and Far Eastern Russia, not about a historical entity.
In a nutshell, this template is a set of the historical entities existed/existing in the geographic region. Each element of the set is a historical entity, but the set itself is about a geographic region, not a historical entity. A wikiuser who has elementary knowledge of set theory should be able to see the difference. For the history of the historical out-of-date Manchuria, another template "Template:History of Manchuria" is more proper.
Caveats: The geographic region was called "Manchuria" before 1945 and doesn't have clearly defined boundary due to its complex history. But the term "Manchuria" became an offensive one to local residents due to the puppet state State of Manchuria during World War II (see Unit 731, General Shiro Ishii). After World War II, Dongbei (Northeast China) and Russian Far-East become the official geographic names of the region. Please avoid anachronistic usage of the historical term "Manchuria", which is offensive to local residents when used anachronistically.
I added an alternative. You probably should put the templates in the user page, and let discussion be the place for discussion. Also how do you put the templates side by side?Wiki Pokemon 00:00, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
