Jerrod Guillory (born May 24, 1968) is an American stand-up comedian. Guillory's start in stand-up came from a music club in New Iberia, Louisiana that featured a weekly comedian, in 1991 Jerrod joined in and has developed into a stage performer that delivers a strong southern punch without the use of explicit language.
Early life
[edit]Jerrod Guillory was born in New Iberia, Louisiana. Following graduation from Catholic High School in New Iberia, Louisiana, Guillory attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana, intending to earn a bachelor's degree in Business Management. Guillory left college without graduating and worked a series of jobs, including bouncer and disc jockey in a New Iberia, Louisiana nightclub. It was while working as club Bouncer he first ventured into standup comedy.
Career
[edit]After college, Jerrod knew he wanted to do comedy, so for ten years he booked a few gigs and hit the road. Guillory published his first book and CD "101 Jokes I've heard" in 1993. He has preformed and hosted numerous Corporate events, concerts and pageants. He has worked countless night clubs and served as opening act for headliners such as: "The O'Jays", "Tyrone Davis", "Morris Day and the Time", "Clearance Carter" and many many more.
Personal life
[edit]Jerrod and Amy Guillory (born January 4, 1974) have been married since April 21, 1995. They have 3 daughters named Alexi (born 1996), Ryan (2000) and Chloe (2005)
