As of now, there are 6,912,811 articles in Wikipedia.

This are the tips of the day:

User Subpages

Many users like to create user subpages to store various bits of information such as welcome templates or other information. For example, if you are drafting a new page that is not ready to "go live", or proposing major changes in redrafting an existing page, a user subpage may be very useful.

To create a subpage simply visit your User page and then append the name of the subpage in your browser's URL bar. For example, http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:CoolDude would become http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:CoolDude/MySubpageName. When you press the ↵ Enter key you will be prompted to create the new subpage.

If you no longer need a subpage, or wish to have it deleted, you can mark the page with {{db-owner}} or {{db|reason}}.

How to see a list of the pages in a namespace

To see a list of all of the pages in a namespace (the main namespace has 6,912,811 articles, plus millions of disambiguation pages and redirects), click on Special pages in the toolbox menu on the left side-bar of your screen. At the top of the list that appears is the entry All pages. Click on that, and a pull down menu (to select a namespace) and a search box for entering a starting pagename appears. The namespace listing will start at whatever spelling you place in the searchbox.

To get a list of only pages starting with a particular string of characters, click on All pages with prefix instead.

To access these pages by link, use [[Special:AllPages]] and [[Special:PrefixIndex]].

A comprehensive index for editors

Sometimes, it might be useful to look up a subject in the same way you would do so in a book‍—‌in the index. Wikipedia has an index. To use it‍—‌it is available at the editor's index to Wikipedia.

Although it is called an "editor's index", it is really intended to be an index for anyone involved with Wikipedia in other than the role of a reader. Most of the topics are directly relevant to editing of articles, but some topics are less directly relevant to editing.
