I am in the process of navigating the use of WIKIPEDIA and hope to become a valid contributor of the site; I may need some help and guidance in the proper use of this site and how to post entries. I was recently working with a musical artist named "Mitch Branson" who I was helping to construct a Wiki-page of his own to establish his prominence in the Wiki-Universe and the page was pulled. Branson was deemed "not of significant importance" to merit a Wiki-page, which I disagree with especially with the growing number of Gay and Lesbian artist that are becoming very important contributors to pop-culture and changing the face of the music industry.

What do I feel qualifies me as a contributor/editor of content to Wikipedia? I am a features writer and columnist for several on-line sites (including my own blog at [www.thrillseekerhq.com]) and periodically profile celebrities and personalities across the spectrum of popular culture. Some of my work can be seen at www.ambiente.us. I also producer and appear on a syndicated cable/internet access show that broadcasts from New York called "Talking About" ([www.talkingabout.info]) where I profile aspiring artists and community figures of growing interest in our community -- and by "community" I mean the global community, not just figures relevant to the Gay & Lesbian community.

I'll be working on a new post and version of the "Mitch Branson" page to create; I believe he has an important story to tell and share that should be noted on Wikipedia especially as he gains ground in the music industry. If anyone has any suggestions on how to proceed so that I can avoid any deletion of content and create healthy posts to these pages, please advise -- I would appreciate the support and certainly wouldn't want to waste anyone's time.
