Part of one of my courses was to create a wikipedia account and to contribute to the knowledge base and relate it to various media theories we've discussed in class. What I did for my Wikipedia assignment was create two new articles and then contribute to another. I essentially wrote about what's being deemed "hipster sexism" and "hipster racism" which consists of being sexist and racist for the purpose of being subversive and ironic, in tune to what is the zeitgeist of today among this generation. I also contributed to criticisms on the SlutWalk, which many people tend to overlook.
