JAMES WATSON BAUER (Jim Bauer) is an American composer/lyricist/songwriter living in Massachusetts. He is also known as PETER BREVIS. Author of the musical theater play THE BLUE FLOWER, along with co-author RUTH BAUER, his current project is DAGMAR, a continuously-morphing song cycle about a guy who can't get out of bed in the morning and an insect goddess (MEGHAN McGEARY) who plunges through the ether to rescue him. BAUER and performing partner McGEARY perform in nightclubs in NEW YORK CITY, and since the summer of 2007 have performed in the NYC subways as part of the Metropolitan Transit Authority's MUSIC UNDER NEW YORK (MUNY) program.
