Matthäus Freiberg Florian (1980 September 3 - 2018 May 22), professionally known as the Master of Ceremony, was a convicted killer in Yuma, Arizona. He is most well known for his targeting of the town's best-known cook, James Casanova Valentino Bond. His targeting of Mr. Bond also led to the deaths of two others, in which he received the charge of manslaughter for.
Florian also had an obsession with Chemistry, chemistry intended to harm. He is regarded by many as a saint for targeting James Casanova.
Early Life
[edit]Florian was born in Baden-Württemburg, Germany to Astrid and Ferdinand Florian on September 3, 1980. In 1995, after serving food in a nationally-recognized contest, Florian was invited to Yuma, Arizona to be entered into a "cook-off" for cooking himself.
On his way out of the Yuma County Fair, shortly after the cook-off (in which he had won), a piece of machinery fell and severely singed his arm. He was therefore forced into hospitalization for 4 months and physical therapy in Phoenix for an additional 6 months.
Given that the German requirement for extended leave (at the time) was 6 months itself, they had overstayed and their German citizenship was revoked. The Florian family then sought citizenship in the United States, and in 1997, were officially citizens.
The singing of his left arm has resulted in him losing movement in his left arm.
Career
[edit]In 2006, Florian was asked to host the cook-off, having been a member for so long. It took him three months to accept.
In April of 2008, Florian had suggested televising the Spring cook-off, and offering elimination challenges in order to be in the Spring cook-off. His suggestion was approved and from there on out, all Spring cook-offs were televised.
College and 4-year-hiatus
[edit]In 2009, he had to take a leave to go to college and study back on public relations after an outburst that led to a decline in the cook-off's popularity.
Whilst in college, he became friends with James Casanova Bond. The friendship turned sour as seven women whom Florian had asked on a date, or even befriended, James would repeatedly go behind his back and date those girls. This led to a year of depression for Florian, who was hospitalized for three months.
During his stay at the hospital, he was prescribed Fluoxetine, a high-dose antidepressant. He was as well prescribed Dexmethylphenidate, as he as well needed to be treated for a long-lasting diagnosis of attention-deficit/hyperactive disorder. The doctors reported that after his prescription to Dexmethylphenidate, he asked for books on chemistry and irregular chemistry, as well as the anarchist cookbook. They did supply him the chemistry books but did not supply him the anarchist cookbook, he did, however, access it through his 30-minute internet access.
At the end of the summer of 2013, he was released. He then attended outpatient services for 2 years, and in the Fall of 2013, he returned to the cook-off.
Upon returning to the cook-off, he had found that a cook-off hadn't been happening since his absence because contestants "refused to participate" if Florian was not there. This greatly boosted his spirit and the cook-off was revived.
