Local elections were held in Majayjay on Monday, May 12, 2025, as a part of the 2025 Philippine general election. Voters will select candidates for all local positions: a town Mayor, Vice Mayor and town Councilors, as well as Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, a Governor, a Vice Governor and a Representative for the province's fourth congressional district to the House of Representatives. Those elected took their respective offices on June 30, 2025, for a three-year-long term.
Coalitions
[edit]As the Mayor, Vice Mayor and the Members of the Municipal Council are elected on the same Ballot, Mayoral candidates may present or endorse a slate of candidates. These Slates usually run with their respective Mayoral and Vice Mayoral candidates along with the other members of their slate. A group of candidates Independent of any Mayoral or Vice Mayoral candidate may also form a slate consisting of themselves.

Mayoralty election
[edit]The incumbent Mayor is Romeo Amorado, who was elected in 2022 election with 57.12% (9,880 votes) of the total votes counted.
Amorado is running for his second consecutive term. He run under the banner of the Lakas–CMD, his main opponent is former Vice Mayor Lauro Mentilla of NUP, whom is Amorado's former ally. Former Mayor Carlo Invinzor Clado is also running under AKAY, whom he defeated last 2022, respectively. Antonio Esmaquel Jr. is also running as Independent.
On November 21, 2024, former Mayor Clado died due to his illness, leaving his slate without a Mayoral candidate. The incumbent Mayor Amorado send his condolences to the family of the former Mayor Clado.

Vice Mayoralty election
[edit]The incumbent Vice Mayor is Juan Ariel Argañosa Jr., who was elected in 2022 election with 57.33% (9,756 votes) of the total votes counted.
Argañosa is running for his second consecutive term. He run under the banner of the Lakas–CMD, his main opponent is incumbent Councilor Celestino Norman Sotto of NUP. Former Councilor Ma. Thess Melendez is also running under AKAY.

Municipal Council election
[edit]The Majayjay Municipal Council is composed of eight Councilor's, elected to serve three-year term. The election for the council is done via multiple non-transferable vote in which a voter has eight votes to distribute to eight different candidates. The eight candidates with the most votes will be elected to the council.
