MediaCommons is a work-in-progress scholarly network and digital press for media studies. Sponsored by the Institute for the Future of the Book and the MacArthur Foundation, MediaCommons is emerging in 2007. The editors-in-chief are Kathleen Fitzpatrick and Avi Santo; Robert Stein is coordinating the project with the Institute for the Future of the Book.
The site currently published a blog, documenting its creation and evolution, and In Media Res, a daily selection of video clips curated by media scholars.
