Navel piercing (also referred to as a belly button hole or umbilical hole) is a type of hole located through or around the navel around it. May heal quickly and without any problems, such as ear piercing, or may heal more like a surface hole with associated extended healing time. It usually takes about 6-9 months, or more, and as long as it is cleaned, it will heal well. [1] Unlike most surface holes, this is one of the few that does not typically reject, although the rejection rate is higher than the non-surface hole, such as the ear hole. The actual navel hole is not performed when the navel hole is performed. The most common form of navel piercing is through the upper edge of the navel.
