Jack Trainer (Footballer born 14th July 1952) is a former English Football League footballer

Playing Career He started his career with Hongkong Rangers in 1970 and was one of the first three overseas players to play in Hongkong, before moving on to play with Hongkongs most successful club Seiko SA. After leaving Hongkong he played a full season with Cork Hibernians in season 1975/76 before signing with Halifax Town in August 1976 where he played 105 league games and scored 5 league goals from 1976/79. He returned to Hongkong with Bulova in season 1979/80 before returning to the football league with Bury FC where he scored on his debut but left the club after 4 months and having only played one game. He had further spells in the football league with Rochdale and another stint of playing overseas with KPV (Finland). He finished his career with Morecambe in non-league football in 1983

Coaching Career He gained his FA Advanced Coaching Licence in 1990 and his UEFA A licence in 1994. Joined Bolton Wanderers FC in 1997 and worked with the U/16 Academy team on a part time basis until 2004 were he then took up a full time role with the club as Coach Education Manager in 2004 with responsibility for the delivery of football education programmes and FA coaching courses until he left the club in 2014. He currently works full time at UCFB Etihad as a coach educator on their degree programmesCite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).

He has delivered FA coaching courses with the FA since 1991 and currently works for Manchester FA as an Affiliate Tutor delivering FA courses
