Steve Bavister (born Steven John Bavister on 17 July 1954) was a British author, trainer, coach and Company Director of Speak First.[1][2]
Publishing and photography career
[edit]From 1985 to 1994 Steve was an editor and publisher with EMAP, where he worked on PhotoAnswers magazine. Later, in 1996 to 2006, Steve became editor of The Photographer magazine. [3]
During this time Steve published over a dozen books on photography, which are listed below.

Training and coaching career
[edit]In 2003 Steve began delivering training and coaching, subsequently becoming Director of Speak First, a training and coaching company that delivers training courses for blue chip companies, in 2006. Steve had a Bachelor's degree in Physhology from The Open University, was a Master Practitioner of NLP and was a certified hypnotherapist. [4]

Music
[edit]Steve played music for much of his life including playing guitar for The Destructors (band) in 1976. He went on to play for local Peterborough bands Last Orders and Crossfire. In 2010, Steve played played bass guitar with his friend Danny Moore on lead guitar for Lexie Green on her album Twenty Ten. They recorded the song Fast Cars & Big Guitars amongst others. [5]
Death
[edit]Steve passed away at Peterborough City Hospital on March 24, 2018. [6]
