A time when I learned to like something

[edit]

(It is part of my English 102 course to post on my userpage about a time when I learned to like something)

Throughout middle school, and most of high school, I had always been thoroughly put off by the idea of theatre. The reality, and even simply the idea, of having to sit through a play was something I always tried, and usually managed, to avoid it, even though I couldn't say why I disliked it so much.

In my senior year of high school, I really started to appreciate theatre, primarily because my girlfriend was the leading star of every play she was in. I was entranced the first time I saw her performing an opera song, and she now has me looking forward to every big performance that comes to town, and even more, every play that she is in.
