I am a practicing comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Columbia University Medical Center, where I hold the title of Professor of Ophthalmology. My interests are ophthalmic trauma, corneal confocal microscopy, ocular biometry and intraocular lens calculation, medical malpractice, and resident and medical student education and training. I was a founding member, first President and presently serve as the Executive Vice President of the American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma. My main focus at present in the development of disaster eye care planning for the United States.
