Welcome!

[edit]

I am a maritime historian and author with a special interest in liners such as the Titanic and Lusitania. I have published books with The History Press, Amberley Books, and Shire Library, and I have also self-published my own works. I also specialize in page layout and web design, and work in my family business tuning and restoring pianos.

Titles that I have authored or co-authored include:

  • On A Sea of Glass: The Life & Loss of the RMS Titanic, with Tad Fitch and Bill Wormstedt (Amberley Books)
  • Lusitania: An Illustrated Biography (Amberley Books)
  • The Unseen Mauretania [1907]: The Ship in Rare Illustrations (The History Press)
  • The Unseen Aquitania: The Ship in Rare Illustrations, with Tad Fitch (The History Press)
  • The Edwardian Superliners: A Trio of Trios (Amberley Books)
  • Conspiracies at Sea: Titanic and Lusitania (Amberley Books)
  • Transatlantic Liners (Shire Library)
  • Titanic: Solving the Mysteries (Blurb Books, self-published), with Mark Chirnside, Tad Fitch, Steve Hall, Samuel Halpern, Ioannis Georgiou, and Bill Wormstedt.

In January 2021 I released an online reference article entitled: Abandoning the Titanic, Abandoning Reality: The Truth About the SS Mount Temple, co-written with Mark Chirnside, Tad Fitch, Samuel Halpern. and Bill Wormstedt.

My personal web site is Atlantic Liners, and has been used as an online resource for enthusiasts and researchers around the world since 2004.
