Nathan Williams (Professional Fighter)

Nathan Williams was born in Upland, CA on May 21, 2000. His mother Jaclyn, a veterinarian assistant and his Father Daniel, a steel worker.

At the age of 7, Nathan was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. Throughout the years, he has done countless hours of advocating, fundraising, etc.

At age 12, Nathan was kicked out of school in 7th grade for selling prescription drugs to some of his classmates. An experience he has gone on to say “changed his life for the better.” After being removed from school in Watts, CA; he relocated to Fontana, CA and lived with his Grandmother, Donna, while he finished up school.

At the age of 13, Nathan began training in folkstyle Wrestling. For Nathan, this was a punishment from his father for getting kicked out of school. His father claimed it would “give him the discipline and work ethic he was lacking.” Soon after, Nathan fell in love with the sport and did it until he graduated from Etiwanda High School in 2018.

Shortly after graduating high school, Nathan began training Mixed Martial Arts under sensei Jeff Frater at Strength & Honor MMA in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. Spending two years there perfecting his craft, Nathan felt he had “outgrown” the room and decided to part ways with Frater and look for a new gym and Professor. Enter 2nd degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and professional fighter, Liron “The Icon” Wilson. After meeting Liron, there was a very noticiable step up in Nathan’s skill set. After gaining some attention, Nathan then garnered lots of attention almost overnight. Gaining sponsors, fans, and even people who wanted more than anything; to see him lose. His response to this was as follows, “Man I love it… absolutely love it. Whether you hate me or love me one thing is for sure, you watched.” As of 2023, Nathan has retired from professional competition Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has his sights set on making his professional MMA and Bare Knuckle boxing debut by the years end.

During his day to day life, Nathan is a special education paraeducator and is pursuing his single subject teaching credential to teach high school history. He also is the head grappling coach at Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, CA.
