The Shredder Company, or TSC is a manufacturer of industrial shredding equipment for metal recycling, based in El Paso, Texas. Founded in 2000 by Alton Scott Newell Jr. and Alton Scott Newell III, The Shredder Company was created after the division of Newell Industries following the death of Alton Scott Newell Sr.
A prominent United States exporter of metal recycling equipment, The Shredder Company not only supplies plants and castings to American recycling companies, but also companies worldwide such as Aceria Del Ecuador C.A. of Quito, Ecuador.[1][2][3][4] The Shredder Company manufactures a range of industrial shredders in all standard industry sizes.
Company Chairman Scott Newell Jr. currently contributes to the Ferrous and Shredding Committees of the Bureau of International Recycling[5][6] and is a Ferrous Division Director of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries.[7] He is also a proponent of smart shredding technologies and cooperation between the scrap and steel industries in order to improve efficiency and integration in steel production.[8][9]
