Assignment 4 Update

Topic Choice: IL-17

This cytokine is released by T Helper cell 17. Specifically it plays a role in both the adaptive immune system and pathogenesis of the autoimmune disorder psoriasis. I plan to discuss the role of IL-17 in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. IL-17 is considered the primary cytokine involved in potentiating this autoimmune disorder. I want to discuss the signaling cascade and other cell types IL-17 interacts with to produce psoriasis.
