Early life
[edit]Terrie Williams (born on May 12th, 1954) is a known for working in public relations, giving inspirational public speeches, being an author, as well a therapist and philanthropist. Her father name is Charles, he studied his education through the military, and helped his mother raise four of his siblings. Her mother's name is Marie she is one of nine siblings, and the only one to complete high school.[1] Terrie's family would often visit St.Agatha home in Nanuet, NY and spent time with the orphan children for the weekend. Allowing Terrie to see what compassion looks like at a very young age influencing who she is today. [2]
Education
[edit]After high school Terrie continued to further her education at Brandies University in Waltham, Massachusetts receiving a BA in psychology and sociology. She received the Alumni Achievement Award in 1988 "The Alumni Achievement Award recognizes alumni/ae who have made distinguished contributions to their professions or chosen fields of endeavor. It represents the highest form of university recognition bestowed exclusively on alumni." [3] It is a great achievement for an African American women to attended a predominately jewish school, as well not only to attend she excelled. However, she didn't stop there after that she went to get her Masters of Science in Social Work at Colombia University. [4]
