Reference best practices
[edit]This practice is facultative neither is it a policy nor a guideline of Wikipedia or Wikimedia sister projects.
Scope
[edit]This user page gives my reference best practices that I frequently use. It ONLY discusses the process of selecting sources.
Audience
[edit]It MAY intended to anyone who is interested in citing better, and those who are wikiholic. Or who spend 500 hours of their lives on Wikipedia.
Prerequisite
[edit]There is only one prerequisite: The will of finding references for a very very loooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnggggg time (WARNING: I did that for around 200 hours).
Benefits of reading this page
[edit]It SHOULD make u more a reliable editor, as referencing is a HUGGE Part of WP.
WHy DiD i wRiTE diz?
[edit]I found that after reading WP:CS, it was disguistingly long. And many WP articles cites disguisting sources. :(
They should replace that with this simple phrase: "All that we care is the information, how did it (the source) get that information (i.e. origin)? what can influence the contents (i.e. influence)?" as simple as that.
Another is: Thou shalt find "all" primary sources even if its exhaustive.
Willfull violation
[edit]§WHy Did i wRiTE diz? is a willfull violation of MOS:HEAD sentence case rule.
Discourse format
[edit]Quid novi?
[edit]I am now learning intellectual property.
