Okeke Martins born on the 17th of February 1980 in Onitsha Anambra State Nigeria. height 1.80m, weight 79kg, Previously played for Jasper United Onitsha Youth Team in 1997 and later joined Sahel Sporting Club Niamey Niger Republic in 1998,He was top rated in Niger Republic league do to his Midfield display . The Nigerian Midfielder, nick named (Skippo) due to his commanding ability in the Midfield and as team player.Member of the Nigerian national under 17,20,23 invitee 2003/2004.

His tremendous performance caught up the interest of top European clubs,also Algeria top flight club WAB Boufarik FC Algeria in 1999/2000 where he spent one season before joining AGBM Beni Messous Algiers Algeria 2000/2003 where he scored couple of Goals as an Attacking Midfielder,His excellent display caught the eyes of big clubs in Algeria(USMA Algiers,CRB Algiers and JSK Tiziuzu)But Okeke later joined Albanian Super league in 2003 and played for Fk Apollonia Fier in the top flight of Albania football.

From Fk Apollonia he joined Albpetrol on loan in half season of 2003 where he spent 6 months before crossing to Fk Flamurtari Pristhine Kosovo(Super league)in 2004 then Serbia and Montenegro.In Kosovo he was rated the best forigne player to ever played in Kosovo league(http://www.ffk-kosova.com/) Click on Photo Galeria above to see some photos.

In Fk Flamurtari Pristina he was a genus and top player,playing alongside Enis Fetahu Former Fc Zagreb Craotia player,now playing for Fk Prishtine Kosovo,Ismet Munishi who played before in the premier leagues of Slovenia,Turkey,Ukraine,Albania,etc.

Okeke Martins later attracted the interest of Finnish clubs where he joined Fc Haka Kajaani Finland in 2005 and move to Fc Tervarit Oulu Finland the same season from where he landed in Berlin Germany to play for BSC(Berliner Sports Club Berlin)2006/2007,he scored 4 goals for BSC.

From Germany he move to Patras Greece to join Fc Thyella Patron Patras Greece in February 2008,In Greece Okeke Martins didnt find it easy because of non payment of his Contract fees and salaries,then he cancelled his contract at the end of season June 2008.

Presently a lot of clubs in Europe and Golf region are very much interested to have the strong Nigerian midfielder in there line up for the season 2008 / 2009. Hard to say,Okeke Martins have stopped playing as a professional after having a serious ankle injury in Kuwait on trials for Sporting Club Kazma Kuwait. Presently Okeke Martins plays for an armature team in Berlin Germany and also works as Scout and Players representative.
