I have taken the tutorial an now will begin using this sandbox to track my work.
Article Evaluation
[edit]In this section, there will be a novice evaluation of another Wikipedia article regarding our course, Ecology.
Quercus rubra, northern red oak article
[edit]This was a very informative article that backed up the knowledge we gained about the the species in our course work and visits for For-Mar. It does not distract me and stays on topic. There were no opinions in this article about the species being better or worse than other trees. All of the links are working, but the first story has a missing author.
In the talk page, people seem to have left suggestions after updates happened. One is asking for a map of the native region which the article already has. Other people are suggesting that the article should be restructured which leads me to believe that there needs to be a standard across all tree specimen in how Wikipedia editors structure the articles.
This article covered a lot more than we would have been able to in class due to the volume of species we have to observe.
Content Gap
[edit]Content Gap refers to articles that are missing information that is along the critical path of understanding. There is something that is missing that is needed to make the conclusions in the article as a whole or in another section of the article.
This is a user sandbox of Ihategluten. You can use it for testing or practicing edits. This is not the sandbox where you should draft your assigned article for a dashboard.wikiedu.org course. To find the right sandbox for your assignment, visit your Dashboard course page and follow the Sandbox Draft link for your assigned article in the My Articles section. |
Editing/Adding Content to an Article: Vernonia missurica
[edit]This is where I will be copying and pasting a section of and article to edit it. This is the recommended procedure according to the tutorial.
Reproduction
[edit]The bloom period begins in the late summer and ends in the fall.[1] This is typically visited by long-tongued bees, butterflies and skippers. In the absence of these pollinators, the plant is capable of self pollinating. [2]
