The Zimbabwe Order of Merit is a Zimbabwean order of merit that is awarded to both civilians and military personnel for service to Zimbabwe.
Institution
[edit]The Zimbabwe Order of Merit replaced the Rhodesian Legion of Merit of the Rhodesian honours system in 1981.
Classes
[edit]Like the Rhodesian Legion of Merit, there were 5 classes of the order:
- Grand Commander (GCZM)
- Grand Officer (GZM)
- Commander (CZM)
- Officer (OZM)
- Member (MZM)
The President of Zimbabwe is the Grand Commander of the order. Recipients of the order are entitled to the post-nominals above.
