Release
[edit]Betch was first released on October 1, 2015, along with other AwesomenessTV web series, with the debut of the go90 streaming platform.[2] Five seasons of Betch were released on go90 between 2015 and 2017. The seventh season was not released before go90 was shut down, and remained unreleased until it was broadcast on TeenNick from July 29 to August 6, 2019.
The series came to Hulu in December 2016.[3] On Hulu and other streaming platforms, two webisodes are combined into longer approximately 20-minute episodes, with the first two seasons of the original web series being combined into a repackaged "season 1", while the third and fourth seasons are combined into a "season 2" package which debuted on Hulu in July 2017.[4]
Reception
[edit]In a November 2015 report to shareholders, Jeffrey Katzenberg "noted that Verizon has singled out... Betch as gaining early traction with millennials and encouraging revisits to the go90 platform.[5]
