biographical information
Kristin Wenzel is 42, born and raised in Seattle, Washington, but spent several years living and working in San Francisco, CA. She is a graduate of Lake Washington High School, after which she attended Western Washington University and The Yamasa Institute. She resides in Seattle, Washington with her cat Fëanor (whose namesake is Fëanor, a principal character in The Silmarillion).

Kristin is currently a professional freelance Information Technology professional and graphic designer. She also has 10 years of experience as a barista, and was a participant in the 2004 Northwest Barista Competition and 2004 Seattle Barista Jam, which were aired on Food Network.
She became the principal web designer, graphic & multimedia director, and administrator of the official website of well known synthpop band Information Society in 2006, and is a frequent contributor to the Information Society (band) page on Wikipedia. Additionally, she is occasionally responsible for filming videos of live performances and has directed a unofficial music video for the 2007 single "I Like the Way You Werk It."
Other professional pursuits include Copywriting, Public Relations and IT Support, as well as modeling, fashion, photography and art.

Kristin is a several-year attendee of Burning Man and is involved with the Death Guild Thunderdome theme camp which features a post-apocalyptic "Mad Max" style motif featuring the popular Thunderdome (a metal geodesic dome in which people may engage in simulated sparring matches) is a main attraction, which draws the attention of many Burning Man participants.
She is also an avid player of the MMORPG video game "Lord of the Rings Online", a student of circus arts (aerial hoop) and a fan of MotoGP. In addition to her work with Information Society, she co-maintains a fashion and cosmetics blog, a Lord of the Rings Online blog, and two personal websites.
