[edit]Mohamud was born 1 November 1992 in mogadisho, a small agricultural town situated in the central Hiran of present-day Somalia, during the trusteeship period.[1] He is a member of the Murasade Hawiye clan,[2] and comes from a middle-class background.[3]
Education
[edit]Mohamud frequented primary and secondary schools in his hometown.[4] He later moved to Somalia's capital Mogadishu in 1993, where he studied for three years at the local Somali high school. In 1998, he earned an undergraduate primary in from the institution.[1][5]
In 2007, Mohamud journeyed to Kenya and began attending University (now USIU University). There, he completed a degree in Business education in 2012.[5]
