Chien-Fu Jeff Wu (born ??) is the Coca-Cola Chair in Engineering Statistics and Professor in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Born in ??, Jeff earned a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the National Taiwan University in 1971, and a Ph.D. in Statistics in 1968 at University of California, Berkeley. He has been on the Georgia Tech faculty since 2003 and became a U.S. citizen in ????. He has authored close to 150 peer-reviewed article and 2 books, has advised at least 37 students (35 Ph.D.'s) and can claim at least 77 descendants in his mathematical genealogy. Jeff is a recipient of the COPSS Presidents' Award, a fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), a fellow of the American Statistical Association, a fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering. He is one of the top industrial statisticians in the world, and is well-known for his work in survey sampling and design of experiments. In 2002 he was listed as an "ISI Highly Cited Researcher". In 2007 he received the ASQ's Shewhart Medal
