The Cape Main Line is a 1,538-kilometre long (956 mi) railway line that connects Cape Town and Johannesburg via Worcester, Beaufort West, De Aar, Kimberley and Klerksdorp. The line, which is owned by Transnet Freight Rail, is one of the main connections in the South African rail network. It carries both passenger and freight traffic.
