Hippynmagic, or Hippy 'n' Magic, gained local popularity in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex during the mid-1990's as Indie DJs. They were responsible alongside mentor and fellow DJ Howard Carter for providing the town with its first weekly Indie and Rock night. The night gained popularity with regular setlists consisting of Britpop hits of the day.
